Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
Level: Adventurous Beginner. You know how to thread a machine, can sew a straight and a curved line, and are comfortable cutting fabric. You have successfully made a tote bag , a zipper box bag (Sewing II), and maybe a grocery bag!
We provide: The studio space, machines, tools, waxed canvas/oil skin know-how, and expertise.
You bring: Fabric you love! Recommended fabrics are: Oilskin, Dry Oilskin, Waxed Canvas, Mid-weight cotton canvas, 8 – 13oz denim, 5 – 10oz linen. For lining we’d suggest a voile/lawn, quilting cotton, or barrier lining, thread to match (there’s a lot of top stitching on the brim), and a copy of the pattern (available as a PDF from M&M).
