The Friendship Shawl is a cozy, asymmetrical shawl with squishy texture and simple lace using 3 skeins of Malabrigo Dos Tierras yarn. This was Malabrigo’s 2024 KAL and we decided the name and the project were a great way to bring folks together to knit and be in community. It’s easy to fall into the movement of the stitches in this project as it is very meditative and structured. The garter sections fly by and the lace sections keep knitters engaged without being too reliant on the written pattern.
Limited to 6 students (16 yrs of age or older)
Level: Advanced Beginner – Intermediate (you know how to knit, purl, cast on and cast off.)
We provide: moral support, stranded colorwork tips & tricks, and great company
You bring: This KAL is free if you purchase your yarn in-store. 3 skeins of DK weight yarn (designed for Malabrigo Dos Tierras), US 7/4.5 mm or size needed to obtain gauge, 32 or 40 in 80 or 100 cm circular needles, and a copy of the pattern. Don’t forget we offer 15% off all materials purchased for any of our workshops.
