Want to try out Tunisian crochet, and don’t know where to start? We turned to Toni Lipsey’s patterns for a small project that would help folks stretch their skills. From the basic simple stitch to the more time consuming smock stitch you’ll create a beautiful and strong fabric perfect for everyday use.
Limited to 4 students (16yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
Level: advanced beginner – you have crocheted washcloths or granny square already, and you know how to do single crochet, slip stitches, maybe you’ve done a simple project in the round. No specific Tunisian crochet experience needed.
We provide: space and expertise
You bring: a copy of the Merci Cloth pattern, approximately 75 yards of worsted weight cotton yarn for the washcloth (we recommend Clean Cotton), and a 6mm Tunisian crochet hook with 12” cord. This is a washcloth so you can play with different yarn weights and hook sizes if you are feeling adventurous. Don’t forget that we offer 15% off all materials purchased for class.
