Make an entire lap size quilt (60 x 60”) start to finish. We’ll sew up a version of a Fence Rail Quilt design using strip piecing for quicker results. If you want some guidance to get through your first quilt, we’ll go through all the steps for an entire quilt from cutting, piecing, quilting and binding.
Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
Level: Confident beginner, you’ve taken Quilting basics and Quilting 2 or equivalent
We provide: the expertise, pattern, tools, and machines.
You bring: (6) quarter yard colors of fabric (FQs or yardage is ok), 2.5 yards background color, 2.5 yards fabric for quilt back, ½ yard fabric for binding, 2.5 yards batting, and a whole bunch of large safety pins for basting. We are assuming fabric/batting is 45″ wide. If you are using wider width fabric/batting please discuss yardage requirements with a craft associate. Don’t forget that we offer 15% off all supplies for any of our workshops.
Class length: 5 hours each session with a mid-session 30+ minute break for snacks/lunch.
